Support for neurodivergent people and Highly Sensitive People

If you’re neurodivergent or a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), everyday life can sometimes feel more intense, overwhelming, or exhausting. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) can offer practical, gentle support for many of the challenges that come with navigating a world that isn’t always designed with neurodiversity in mind.

As a neurodivergent adult living in what I affectionately call a “neurospicy” family, I naturally attract and work with people who recognise similar traits in themselves. Many of my clients have, or suspect they may have, ADHD, Autism/ASC, PDA, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, sensory processing differences (SPD), tic disorders, or Tourette’s — often a combination. I also work with Highly Sensitive People who experience the world more deeply and intensely.

At myhappimind, I use Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to offer calm, structured, and strengths-based support. Sessions are adapted to suit you and focus on practical changes that can make daily life feel more manageable.

Adjustments and sessions

I offer a low-demand, flexible approach - we only do what feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to talk, make eye contact, or engage in any particular way.

You’re very welcome to:

  • Keep your hands busy (colouring, crochet, or fidget toys)

  • Sit upright rather than lie down

  • Keep your eyes open

  • Choose a shorter relaxation instead of a longer one

Each session follows a familiar, predictable structure so you know what to expect. I also allow time between appointments to reduce arrival stress, and shorter sessions are available if that feels more supportive. If you’d like a friendly chat before booking, I’m always happy to arrange a call.

What is a Highly Sensitive Person?

Research by Dr Elaine Aron suggests that around 15% of the population are wired as Highly Sensitive People. HSPs tend to process sensory and emotional information more deeply and are often thoughtful, empathetic, and creative.

At the same time, heightened sensitivity can mean feeling overwhelmed by noise, crowds, or busy environments. Without the right support, this can contribute to stress, low mood, and lower self-esteem. Hypnotherapy at myhappimind offers a calm, understanding space to help HSPs manage overwhelm, protect their energy, and feel more confident navigating daily life.

How many sessions will I need?

We can discuss this your introduction call or first session. The number of sessions you need will vary. Everybody is different. On average people have between 6 and 12 sessions.

Sessions cost £70 for an hour, or £360 if you book a block of 6 (£60 per session).
