Autistic Spectrum Condition
Understanding Autistic Spectrum Condition
Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental difference that shapes how a person experiences, understands, and responds to the world. It can influence many areas of life, including communication, sensory processing, and relationships, while also bringing unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking.
With growing awareness of how autism presents, particularly in girls, women, and adults, many people are now seeking or receiving a diagnosis later in life. For some, this follows years of masking, exhaustion, or a sense of feeling “out of sync” with the world around them.
How myhappimind can help
At myhappimind, I support autistic adults, teenagers, and children aged 10+ using a gentle, structured blend of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, hypnotherapy, and brain-based education.
Together, we focus on what you would like more of, supporting you to:
Build confidence and self-esteem
Reduce anxiety and stress
Improve sleep
Ease overwhelm and burnout
Navigate changes, transitions, and daily challenges
Make sense of identity and diagnosis
Move towards personal goals at a manageable, comfortable pace
ASC often sits alongside other experiences such as ADHD, low mood, sensory sensitivities, and social exhaustion. These can all be supported within therapy, with sessions adapted to suit your needs.
Why this approach suits ASC
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is positive, predictable, and low-demand. There is no pressure to mask, share more than you want, or revisit the past. Sessions are structured and strengths-based, helping create a sense of safety and clarity.
Guided relaxation is used in a flexible way to help calm a busy or overloaded nervous system, supporting regulation in a way that feels safe, respectful, and manageable.
